Monsters Unleashed! - a monster generator for your game
Want to make weird monsters? How about a unique fantasy setting? I wrote a book for that! Released at Terminal City Con and Breakout Con just a couple of weeks ago.
It's 20 pages, and the heart of the book is tables to help inspire the making of weird monsters. There's 18 tables of different traits that define and characterize your monster. You can pick or roll.
There's also sections of advice for building unique fantasy worlds, and keeping things narrow, and making it memorable. We then follow our own advice with example monsters, and campaign setting sketch.
You can get a copy of Monsters Unleashed! here (either the printed by me version or in PDF)
The book takes an "FKR" approach.
It also includes summary mechanics of the "Unleashed Engine" originally done in Simple Superheroes, and thoroughly tested in my Crimson Shield Campaign -- AP thread on the forum here -- and tested in various one shots too.
The dragons of that campaign are all given stats. It was a good way to illustrate the idea that all a family of monsters is interesting, and also quite different.

Sounds interesting. I like the idea of using tables for creating unique monsters and worldbuilding.
